A Six-Week Course

Join the six-week yoga for stress course starting in March 2019. Each week, we will meet and practice a yoga sequence specifically designed to relieve stress. The course is held for six Mondays in a row from 17:30 to 18:30 at Dean Court Community Centre.

Become part of a small group of people who are literally changing the way they allow stressful events to affect them.

Course Start Date: Monday March 4th.

What you will learn

  • Breathing techniques to quickly calm the nervous system after stressful events.

  • Calming yoga postures that can be done at home any time of the day and without equipment.

  • Learn to notice cues from your body during the day that signal stress is beginning to affect the body.

  • Learn chair-based yoga stretches that relieve tension instantly and can be done when sitting at a desk.

  • How to approach challenging yoga postures in a class to make them energising rather than draining for your body.

  • At the end of the course, you will walk away with a 30-minute home practice sequence.
